Yesterday I had the privilege of attending a SHEMentors networking event. The event allowed me to be among several women entrepreneurs and aspiring women entrepreneurs. The women in the program were being empowered for several weeks to develop their business ideas or expand their existing business.
It was an awesome experience for me to see the rising number of entrepreneurs as only a few years ago, not having a job and risking it all to generate your own income was looked down upon. At the event I got to sit at round tables with women from the program and discussed with some ideas and concerns relating to their business.
The highlight of the event was the launched of a Facebook group that would allow for any Female Belizean entrepreneur to join to network and meet new people. If you or someone you know is a female entrepreneur and wants to join the group use the link here. If you have more questions about the SHEMentors program you can contact SBDCBelize on their Facebook group by clicking here.
Don't forget we'll be in Belmopan on June 1st at the Made in Belize Expo. See you there!
